2. Upload one (or more) portraits of a person, a pet, or any Christmas themed image to our Flickr Group
3. Leave one (or more) comments on any blog post on Weekly Photo Tips
The contest starts today (December 8th), it ends December 31st, and the winner will be randomly drawn from all contest entries and will be announced here on the blog on January 1st 2011.
I will mail the OneLight Workshop DVD's that we received for review to the lucky winner.
The rules are pretty simple, you can enter as many times as you like (one comment + one image upload = one contest entry), all ownership rights of all images remain with you the photographer.
The only thing we will use them (the images) for is to show as occasional "samples" of images we receive as contest entries and to announce the winner.
Lastly, the contest is open to everyone world wide, if the winner should be outside the contagious 48 United States, they (the winner) will be responsible (only) for the cost of shipping.

Ribbon Candy always brings me back to my mothers; the candy was always left in the box on the table in front of the couch so all could have a piece while watching TV. AHH the moments of childhood remembered.
I have uploaded a single light self portrait image onto Weekly Photo Tips group on Flickr that I took a week ago as an example of what not to do with a single light.
I hope that at some stage I will master the quality of light and learn to judge the quantity of light needed to make a decent exposure...
I always seem to find that the range of my exposures is wider than the latitude of the medium to capture them.
It used to be fine with black and white negative film that had latitude of error to compensate for poor choices.
But now with digital assessing and judging lighting is a fine line and it is deadly..
Alight meter helps with natural lit portraits but I still have problems with strobes, even with a flash meter...
Perhaps theis DVD from Zack Arias will reveal some of what I need to do to improve my photography...
