Photographing boats in Maine...

I was shooting a wedding with Stacey Kane this past Saturday in Boothbay Harbor (Maine) and the reception was on the water.

Literally.

The reception was on a pier and as the sun was going down I grabbed a couple shots of these boats as they floated close to each other on their slips.

(clicking on either image will open them larger in a new window)

The camera settings were the same for both images.

Camera: Nikon D300
Lens: 28-70mm F/2.8D
Focal Length: 70mm
Aperture: F/3.5
Shutter Speed: 1/100
ISO Sensitivity: ISO 250

Did the SK photwalk there same day. But it was a very grey and dismal AM! Got a couple good shots though!

I was sorry to miss the photowalk, Hope all had fun. Where did you folks walk?

Ya, the weather was weird, it would be foggy & misty, the sun would suddenly pop out, then the fog would roll right back in.

It made for interesting shooting (and images).

We walked in Boothbay. Ten signed up but only three plus the leader decided to deal with the weather! Still a good day.

So we were right down the street from each other.... Too funny!
